In 1989, January 21st was declared a National Holiday in Barbados (Errol Barrow Day). A holiday that is used as a time to reflect on the immeasurable contribution Barrow made to the island of Barbados. A contribution that among many things saw us break away from Britain and become independent. In the same year of 1989, the Rt. Hon. Errol Walton Barrow was declared one of Barbados' National Heroes.
